This tribute began with Robert Beckner’s nickname and a birthday idea: turn an inside joke into something he could stumble across on the internet. Not just a message in a group chat—a little piece of the web, complete with a wizard hat, real software projects, and an unnecessarily important amount of birthday magic.
The hope was that Robert would discover it while searching his own name. The code is our part of the gift. The timing of that discovery? Even this wizard doesn’t control Google.
So here it is, Robert: a birthday card with source code. Made by your coder friends, with love.
